
Belarusian Party of Greens passed the resolution demanding to stop the construction of the Ostrovets NPP and for an independent public inquiry took place on her incident.
Co-Chair of Greens faction in the European Parliament Rebecca Harms said that the issue of nuclear power plant construction in Belarus is taken under control at the top level. Representatives of the Belarusian Party of Greens and the public association "Ecodom" handed to MEPs the resolution signed by representative of Democratic Forces for the termination of the Belarusian nuclear power plant, which was signed in Minsk on September 5, 2016.
A number of meetings and events devoted to the problem of construction Ostrovets NPP took place during a visit to Vilnius, the delegation of the European Parliament and the European Commission on 6-8 September 2016. In particular, the Belarusian nuclear project near the Lithuanian border was one of the main themes of the round table "Security of EU citizens and the future of energy."
